Learn how to write children’s books – and have fun in France doing it!

Join Alan Durant, the award-winning author of Burger Boy, Always and Forever, Dear Tooth Fairy, Game Boy, Blood and over seventy other titles, on a residential course on writing for children at his house in Picardie, France, from Tuesday 27 May to Sunday 1 June 2014.

The course offers the opportunity to write and share ideas, and to explore techniques involved in writing fiction for children of different ages, with one to one tutorials, group workshops and discussions, and plenty of writing time, all in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve written a little or a lot – or not at all! The cost per person is £470, which includes tutoring fees, accommodation and meals, plus free return travel by car between London/south-east England and Crecy.

Previous course participants said: “Alan was the perfect tutor. He wouldn’t butcher your work nor would he praise it if it wasn’t worth it. I really enjoyed the atmosphere.”
“The house is an ideal setting for inspiration. Great atmosphere, great people and great food. I am so pleased I joined the course.”
